The series will kick-off with a discussion on the importance of color and whimsy in food, how embracing the imperfect can make entertaining more memorable, tips on creating an inviting table, and what it means to gather in an age of social distancing.

Leela Cyd is a lifestyle and food photographer and the author of four books, Cooking Up Trouble, Food With Friends, Styling For Instagram, and Tasting Hygge. Her work has been featured in Food + Wine, The Kitchn, Bon Appetit, and the New York Times.

This evening’s discussion will center around food as a subject in fiction and in our lives, reflecting on how baking bread, tending to our gardens, and sharing meals with loved ones influences how we experience the world and how our food memories shape who we are.
